Groom Tried To Drown Himself After Seeing His Ugly Bride For The First Time

A groom named Kang Hu was so disappointed on the "ugly" appearance of his wife-to-be after seeing her for the first time. Actually, he tried to kill himself!

Kang Hu is a 33-year-old groom who's going to marry 30-year-old Na Sung who was chosen by the groom's parent. Kang Hu had never seen Na Sung before. At the wedding, for the first time that Kang saw Na Sung, he found her ugly and did not meet his high standards.

Without fear, Kang told everyone in the ceremony that Na Sung is "ugly" and she would be bad for the image of Kang. The groom walked out of the ceremony and tried to drown himself in the river nearby.

"It was a very awkward moment for everyone," said Pal Chan Wang, one of the guest at the wedding. "The bride was devastated, her family were furious, his family were furious, and we his friends were embarrassed."

"Kang has very exact tastes and had been forced into this marriage," Wang added.

Both parties of family looked for Kang for several hours and they spotted him wandering in the river bank. Before they approached him to apologize, Kang jumped into the river.

"He was fully clothed and floating face down in the water," told Qan Tsui, 25, who took photos during the rescue. "He was unconscious and I thought he was dead. When the police arrived, one jumped in and dragged him ashore with the help of firemen who put a rope around his chest to pull him out before pumping his chest," he described. "They saved his life."

Kang was rushed to the nearest hospital and doctors told them that his condition is stable.

After Kang became conscious, he explained his misbehavior on the day of his wedding.

"I feel bad about what happened but when I saw her she wasn't what I had expected and I realized she would be bad for my image. My parents had arranged this and I couldn't see any way out apart from suicide."
