Secret Behind This Talking Dog That WOW Judges On Britain’s Got Talent Is Revealed

Marc Métral and his singing dog Miss Wendy stunned the crowd and judges with their ‘talking dog’ act on a recent episode of Britain’s Got Talent.

Simon Cowell looked on in disbelief when the dog moved her mouth in perfect time to the 70s classic ‘Feelings’ and 61-year-old Mr. Métral made her meow on stage.

“Wow, I don't know how she does that. How does she know the words? Unbelievable,” Simon Cowell commented.

Almost 11 million viewers were captivated by ventriloquist Marc Métral’s musical hound, including the four judges.

“Congratulations, in the nine years of doing this show, Simon has said he wanted a dog that could meow or sing, and you did both, incredible,” Holden said to Mr. Métral.

Amanda Holden told her French owner that he had ‘made television history’ and Cowell even phoned his girlfriend Lauren Silverman to tell her about it.

However, it was revealed the stunt was not quite as novel as it seemed.

MailOnline reported the trick or called the ‘false mouth trick’ has been seen before – having been used on the US version of the show in 2012, as one contestant on America’s Got Talent, Todd Oliver, amazed judges with his talking French bulldog Irving.

The clever trick works by the ventriloquist using a remote control to operate a mechanical nose and a false mouth that is believed was placed over Miss Wendy's face.

That ingenious trick is the reason why Marc and Wendy received a standing ovation on their jaw-dropping performance and progressed to the semi-finals.
