The girl's uncle, known by the nickname "Xiao Zhou," said he and the rest of the family were overjoyed when his younger sister finally gave birth, until they noticed the cut.

The mother was left shocked by what happened.
The baby girl was delivered healthily at the Yifu Fuyuan Hospital, in Yiwu City in East China's Zhejiang Province, by means of a caesarean section, and Xiao Zhou said they only saw the injury later that day.

The baby was badly hurt.
The delivery team apparently told Xiao Zhou that the flesh and skin on his sister's stomach was "too thin," causing them to accidentally slice too deep and injure the newborn.
