See What It Looks Like When Lightning Strikes The World's TallestBuilding

This is a picture of Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building, struck by a lightning last Wednesday.

The amazing shot of Burj Khalifa was captured by Michael Shainblum. He stood out in the rain for four hours to get photos of lightning strike around Downtown Dubai.

“I had no idea I would actually catch a lightning bolt hitting the Burj Khalifa,” Shainblum said.

The photographer also assured that the photo is not a composite.

“What you see is completely real and captured in camera,” he asserted.

Burj Khalifa holds the record for the world’s tallest building with a height of 828 meters or 2,717 feet certified by the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) last March 10, 2010.

Aside from that, it also holds the records for tallest free standing structure in the world, highest number of stories in the world, highest occupied floor in the world, highest outdoor observation deck in the world, elevator with longest travel distance in the world and tallest service elevator in the world.
