Ferrari that took 100 hours to carve out of marble costs $50,000 and is four times smaller than the real thing.
Luxury stone specialists Lapicida, based in Yorkshire, is making an amazing Ferrari 250 GTO sculpture car for $50,000 carved out of Arabescato Italian marble that took 100 hours.
The amazing Ferrari 250 GTO sculpture car is 1.2 meter long and was designed using state-of-the-art 3D scanning and advanced 3DMAX software.
It was revealed by Lapicida, which is selling the Ferrari 250 GTO sculpture car for $50,000.
“We made the Ferrari 250 GTO in marble to demonstrate our unique capabilities. It is a testament to our craftsmens' skills and now occupies pole position in our London showroom window,” Jason Cherrington said, boss of Lapicida.
The details have been carved intricately to look exactly like the real Ferrari 250 GTO. The cost of the model makes it three times the price of a Ford Fiesta but one-thousandth of the price of an actual Ferrari 250 GTO.
The company says customers can make orders for their own cars to be cut into Arabescato Italian marble, however it will set them back around $33,000.
The Ferrari 250 GTO sculpture car will be put on display in the window of the London showroom.
“We have had a lot of inquiries about it and expect to sell it shortly,” Cherrington added.
The 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO is one of the world's most desirable cars. Just 36 Ferrari 250 GTOs was built between 1962 and 1964 with the Italian sports car loved for its looks, rarity, racing history and performance. The car is powered by a 3-liter V12 engine and is capable of a top speed of 173 mph.
