Crowd at the ground floor were watching a trio performing in the stage singing a Christmas carol " Let it Snow" and Serge rushed to the fourth floor and throws his money from the side down to the crowd.
He filmed the moment when the crowd noticed the falling bills and posted it to his YouTube account. He stamped the URL of his account to the bills. He also posted it to his Facebook page.
After the money drop, police noticed and confronted him because of his misconduct. Mall of America spokeswoman Sarah Schmidt said that the act could lead to someone gotten hurt.
Serge said that he did it for some reason. He is going through a divorce and want to spend his last thousand money to people and make them happy. He added that he wanted to do it again someday.
As of today, his total views on his video is about 870,000 . He told that when people watch his video, YouTube will pay him back and he is willing to throw it again to the crowd but it's not clear when and where.
