Amazing Info's | Osaka Prefecture in Japan just introduced the Osaka Free Wi-Fi and Osaka Free Wi-Fi Lite programs which will provide tourists with free internet access at 44 locations or 163 access points in the city.
The Osaka Government Tourism Bureau is targeting tourist spots, hotels, restaurants and public transportation for its project. The service aims to offer tourists information about the city and permit them to share and post their experiences online.
The figure is likely to boost to 3,000 locations or 8,000 access points by December 2014 and will cover a myriad of places such as tourist attractions, railways, and retail stores.
Even though free Wi-Fi hotspots are not hard to discover in Japan, a lot of them require pre-registration and possibly will not be accessible at your desired location. The service is compatible with devices such as Apple, Android, and Windows.
In order to use the Osaka Free Wi-Fi service, users have to give an email address to be approved 30 minutes of Wi-Fi before having to log-in again, with unlimited usage. On the other hand, some places only offer the Wi-Fi Lite service, which limits users to an hour of Wi-Fi and requires log-in every 15 minutes.
Although the hassle of having to log-in every 15 to 30 minutes may be unlikeable, the accessibility of free Wi-Fi throughout the city does speak volumes for tourists who want to share amazing moments of their vacation on the Internet.
