Good news to those who love desserts especially chocolate cake lovers. According to scientists, eating chocolate cake as part of your breakfast can help you lose weight.
Research shows that morning is the best time to eat sweets or junk foods because that's when your body's metabolism is most active and you have the rest of the day to burn off the calories.
Chocolate Cake Diet
Scientists have discovered that eating chocolate cake as part of your breakfast that includes carbohydrates and proteins can stop you from craving sweets and junk foods later in the day.
As part of the research, scientists split 193 obese, non-diabetic adults into two groups. One group consumed a low carb 330 calorie breakfast, while the other group consumed a 600 calorie breakfast that included a chocolate cake for dessert.
The result is that the group that was eating the breakfast with chocolate cake lost an average of 40 pounds while the group with low carb breakfast regained more pounds.
Although both of the groups consumed the same total daily calories, the low carb breakfast group are not satisfied and felt that they were not full and tend to eat more sweets caused them to cheat on the diet plan.
The group that ate the larger breakfast with chocolate cake, reported that they felt less cravings for sweets later in the day.
Having breakfast provides energy for the day's tasks, helps in functioning our brain and to make our metabolism more active making it crucial for losing weight and maintenance.
