Nearly 80,000 applicants have applied for the Mars One mission.

Each one of them should undergo a thorough training that will lasts for 7 years before leaving Earth. The said mission will be on the year 2023.

Qualifications

In order to apply, all applicants have to do is to pay the application fee worth $5 to $75 and submit a video in which you have to answer three questions:

1. Why would you like to go to Mars?

2. How would you describe your sense of humor?

3. What makes you the perfect candidate for this mission to Mars?

Mars One is a Dutch non-profit organization. The one conducting the global search to find the best candidates to the said mission to Mars in 2023. It is a one way trip due to the physiological change in the human body after a stay on Mars, that is why there will be no coming back.

But in spite of the one way trip mission, people still applied to become one of Mars’ first immigrants. The company received applications from more than 120 countries. Mars One is expecting 500,000 applicants before closing of the applications on August 31.
